Russia's Putin makes first appearance in 10 days

Russian President Vladimir Putin has appeared in public for the first time in 10 days, ending intense speculation about his health and even rumours of his death.

He was meeting Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev in St Petersburg.

Commenting on the speculation about his health, Mr Putin said "life would be boring without rumours".
