Athletics doping: IOC urges IAAF to take action against accused athletes

Russian athletes accused of doping should face disciplinary action, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has said.

The organisation has urged athletics' world governing body, the IAAF, to act after a damning report was released by the World Anti-Doping Agency.

President Vladimir Putin is due to meet sports chiefs on Wednesday but his sports minister has dismissed claims in the report that Russia ran a "state-supported" doping programme.
