Turkish president 'talks a man out of a suicide attempt'
The office of the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, says that he has helped talk a man out of jumping off the Bosphorus bridge in Istanbul.
The presidential convoy spotted the man on the bridge, and officials then came to his assistance.
Local media reported that the man had contemplated taking his own life because of "family problems".
The individual later spoke to President Erdogan for several minutes before leaving for home.
