Grandson of late Uzbek leader Karimov fears for mother's life

With elections in Uzbekistan just around the corner, questions have been raised about the daughter of the country's long-serving authoritarian president, Islam Karimov, who passed away suddenly in September.

Gulnara was once seen as a possible successor to her father, but she has been under house arrest for nearly three years.

In a rare and exclusive interview with the BBC, her son Islam, named after his grandfather, talked about his growing concerns for his mother.
