Christian Lamb: ‘I made the maps for the landings’

Christian Lamb came from a naval background: Her father was an admiral; her sister was at university in Oxford; and she’d been planning to follow suit.

However she had gone to France to improve her French just as war broke out. Within a short space of time she found herself tugged by love and duty.
