How to play the kora, Cuban-style

In 1996 a group of Malian musicians were due to travel to Cuba to record an album with local players.

But visa problems meant they could not go, so the sessions in Havana went ahead without them.

The result was Buena Vista Social Club, which became one of the biggest-selling world music albums ever.

Fourteen years later, some of the Malian and Cuban musicians have regrouped to release an album under the name AfroCubism.

On the London stop of their world tour, group member and world famous kora player Toumani Diabate, told the BBC World Service how the musicians found common ground.
