UN vote for more troops to be deployed to Ivory Coast

The UN Security Council has voted to send 2,000 more peacekeeping troops to Ivory Coast, where a political deadlock between incumbent President Laurent Gbagbo and his rival Alassane Ouattara continues.

Mr Gbagbo is refusing to hand over power and aides say he will not allow any more troops into the country.
