British tourists enjoy Egypt sun despite unrest

About 30,000 British tourists and long term residents are in Egypt, with many of them on holiday in resorts on the Red Sea.

The Foreign office has now advised against all non essential travel to parts of the country - including Luxor, Alexandria and the capital Cairo.

Thousands of tourists have gathered at Cairo's airport hoping to leave the country - while some continue with their holiday in Sharm el Sheikh.

Rupert Wingfield Hayes reports.
