Mandela recovering well, says daughter
Former South African President Nelson Mandela is recovering well from a recent health scare, according to his daughter Zindzi Mandela Hlongwane.
She said he had been eating well and spending time with his grandchildren.
She spoke after boxers Filipino Pacquiao and American Shane Mosley held a news conference at a hotel in Beverly Hills to discuss their WBO welterweight bout in May.
Mandela, a keen boxer in his youth, is a good friend of boxing legend Muhammad Ali.
The 92-year-old started boxing while studying at Fort Hare University in Eastern Cape and he famously shadow-boxed during his 27 years in prison.
His daughter said he still held a great passion for the sport.
