Nato to control Libya military operation

Nato forces are to take the lead in the military operation that is enforcing UN resolutions in Libya.

A meeting of Nato envoys in Brussels decided that the alliance will assume command of all aerial operations.

In a statement, Nato Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said "This is a very significant step, which proves Nato's capability to take decisive action".
