Ivory Coast: Gbagbo 'under house arrest in villa'

Ivory Coast's new President Alassane Ouattara has confirmed that Laurent Gbagbo had been moved from the Golf Hotel to a secure villa.

Mr Gbagbo was detained on Monday after he failed to stand down.

The new president said that supporters of Mr Gbagbo would be protected and "were welcome to live in the Ivory Coast."
