Yemen protesters fired upon by security forces in Sanaa

Security forces in Yemen have opened fire on anti-government protesters in the capital, Sanaa. At least one person was killed, and 40 others wounded.

Thousands of protesters had been marching towards the cabinet building in their latest effort to force President Ali Abdullah Saleh from power.

Elsewhere in Yemen, two demonstrators are reported to have been killed by snipers in the city of Taiz. Will Grant reports.
