Libya: UN voices concern over alleged human rights abuses

The UN's human rights body has called for continuing investigations to verify allegations about the use of mercenaries, child soldiers and sexual violence by Colonel Gaddafi's forces in Libya.

Speaking as he unveiled a report on the situation in Libya, the head of the UNHRC mission to Libya, Cherif Bassiouni, said that there are many areas for concern regarding abuses in the country.
