Refugees flee Sudan amid violence

The UN has accused the Sudanese government of carrying out an "intensive bombing campaign" near the north-south border.

Aid agencies say tens of thousands of people have fled their homes and they have urged the government in Khartoum to let them in to help victims of the fighting.

The South is due to become independent next month.
