Libya rebels pinned down in strategic Western Mountains

Libya's rebel fighters hold the key strategic ground of the Western Mountains near the Tunisian border, but are pinned down by Col Gaddafi's forces.

Like elsewhere in Libya, the rebels want to overthrow Col Gaddafi but they also want to reassert the ancient Berber culture that Col Gaddafi tried to suppress.

The BBC's Mark Doyle visited a rebel-held observation post where the rebels say they are short of heavy weapons.
