Somali Islamists maintain aid ban

Three and a half million people are now at risk of famine in southern Somalia, according to the United Nations.

Aid agencies are struggling to get help to them, because the Islamist militia in control of large parts of the country says that the figure is an exaggeration and has banned them from coming in.

The UN insists it will continue its aid efforts.
