UK nurse on life in a Tripoli hospital

The International Development Secretary, Andrew Mitchell, has said that Britain will provide urgent humanitarian support for the people of Libya.

The government is donating three million pounds to the Red Cross for medical assistance and food, following an appeal by the United Nations.

British nurse Karen Graham is working at the only functioning hospital in Tripoli. Speaking to the BBC, she said that doctors were running out of some medical supplies.
