Libya rebels offer ceasefire ahead of Eid holiday

The rebel leadership in Libya has offered a 48 hour ceasefire to cover the Muslim holiday of Eid, as their forces advance on the loyalist stronghold of Sirte.

So far there hasn't been a response to the offer, and it is not clear whether there will be any pause in the fighting.
