Libyans celebrate Gaddafi's death

Libya's former-leader Col Muammar Gaddafi has been killed after an assault on his home town of Sirte, officials from the transitional authorities have said.

Anti-Gaddafi fighters welcomed the news with jubilant scenes, hailing what one described as a "great achievement... freeing every inch of our country".
