Nigeria suffers new bomb attack

A blast at a market place in the northern Nigerian city of Maiduguri has killed four people and injured others.

An army spokesman described the explosion as a major incident, and blamed it on the Islamist group, Boko Haram.

The group has said it carried out a series of attacks that took place on Christmas Day which killed at least 37 people just outside the capital, Abuja.
