Nigeria braced for more violence after attack on Boko Haram

Nigerian security forces today launched a counter-attack against the militant Islamist sect responsible for the death of at least 180 people in attacks last week in the northern city of Kano.

A man and his pregnant wife were killed in the assault.

Meanwhile police have shown journalists explosives they say were used by Boko Haram in Friday's attack on the city.

Andrew Harding reports from Nigeria.
