Senegal: Abdoulaye Wade defies calls to step aside

Senegal's President Abdoulaye Wade has re-affirmed he has no plans to withdraw from the 26 February election despite mounting pressure from the opposition and civil society.

The 85-year-old leader has also lashed out at what he sees as international interference in Senegal's political affairs.

Journalist Ofeibea Quist-Arcton, from the US radio network NPR, asked Mr Wade why he is so confident about winning the election despite daily protests and calls from the opposition for him to go.
