Charles Taylor 'stoical' despite trial verdict

International judges have found Charles Taylor guilty of aiding and abetting war crimes during the Sierra Leone civil war.

The former Liberian leader was accused of backing rebels who killed tens of thousands during the conflict between 1991-2002.

Courtenay Griffiths QC represents Mr Taylor and said that his client was "very stoical" about the court's verdict, as there was a "certain inevitability about the result".
