Algeria's $200bn foreign currency reserves

The Algerian budget has recorded a financial surplus that has meant a rise in foreign currency reserves to more than $200bn (£125bn; 156bn euros), according to authorities.

While this is expected to rise over the coming year, the North African country still faces high unemployment rates and a severe housing crisis.
