South Africa's Marikana mine closed by 'intimidation'

Miners are being intimidated into staying away from work at the South African mine where 34 people were recently shot dead by police, according to its owners.

Lonmin said that just 13% of workers reported for duty on Monday, amid claims that workers had been threatened.

Karen Allen visited Marikana, where she spoke to mine worker David Makalika to find out more about the ongoing crisis.
