Leaders warn that Islamic extremism rising in Kenya

Muslim leaders on Kenya's coast are warning that extremism is on the rise.

The killing last month of a Muslim cleric in Mombasa was followed by days of rioting that left four people dead.

Aboud Rogo Mohammed, who was on US and UN sanction lists for allegedly supporting Somalia's al-Shabab8 militants, had encouraged local Muslims to engage in jihad, and was killed in a drive-by shooting in August.

Gabriel Gatehouse reports.
