Libya: One year on from the fall of Colonel Gaddafi

Saturday 20th October 2012 marks the one year anniversary of the capture and killing of Colonel Gaddafi by Libyan revolutionaries.

The man who found him is also dead, having been captured and tortured by Gaddafi loyalists.

Libya held democratic elections in the summer but how successful has the country's new parliament been in forming a stable government, and at coping with the diverse vested interest of the militias?
