Libya rebel flees to UK as revolution sours for women
A native of Tripoli, Twenty-five-year-old Magdulien Abaida was involved in organising aid for the Libyan rebels who overthrew Colonel Muammar Gaddafi and later in campaigning for women's rights under the new regime.
However, now threatened by Islamist militias operating in the country, who have kidnapped her twice, she has been forced to flee Libya and seek refuge in the UK.
