Mandela's legacy written on the streets around the world

He is a man whose story and actions changed the political landscape of his home country.

But Nelson Mandela also helped shape the physical landscape of places as far away as India, Brazil and Senegal - his name commemorated in concrete, tarmac and brick throughout the world.

Akash, who works at a sweet shop on Nelson Mandela Road in Delhi, India, paid this tribute to the iconic leader: "He means a lot to me because he inspires me to work for the betterment of the underprivileged."
