Fear returns to Mali amid clashes

The military presence has been beefed up in the northern Malian town of Gao following two suicide bomb attacks last week and heavy fighting against Jihadi fighters.

Government troops continue to search houses for explosives or weapons left behind by the Islamist militants who have melted away in the surrounding area.

The BBC's West Africa correspondent Thomas Fessy reports from Gao.
