Mandela: Country must not panic, says President Zuma

In an interview with the BBC South African President Jacob Zuma said Nelson Mandela was responding well to hospital treatment.

Referring to Mr Mandela by his clan name Madiba, President Zuma said the country "must not panic".

An earlier statement said the 94-year-old anti-apartheid leader remained under treatment and observation.
