President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta vows to serve all Kenyans

The man confirmed as the winner of Kenya's presidential election, Uhuru Kenyatta, has vowed that his government will work to serve all the country's people without discrimination.

He was speaking after Kenya's Supreme Court upheld the poll result, dismissing a challenge by his main rival Raila Odinga.

Mr Odinga said he respected the court's decision, but would look at other peaceful ways of resolving the dispute and called on his supporters to avoid bloodshed.

James Kelly reports.
