Deadly clashes after Libya militia protest

At least 25 people have died and 58 people were injured in clashes outside a military headquarters in Benghazi, Libya.

Violence broke out after hundreds of protesters gathered outside the headquarters of the Libya Shield brigade, calling for the militia to be disbanded.

The Libya Shield Brigade, which played a role in the ousting of Muammar Gaddafi, has so far refused to lay down its weapons, saying they are operating with defence ministry approval.
