Nelson Mandela: Obama plays down possible visit

US President Barack Obama has played down expectations he would visit former South African President Nelson Mandela in hospital after arriving in the country.

Mr Obama's plane landed at a military airbase near Pretoria on Friday and he told reporters during the flight over that he "didn't need a photo op".
