Mandela death: Public memorial attracts thousands

Thousands of South Africans are gathering at the 95,000-thousands seat FNB stadium in the hope of a seat at the memorial service for Nelson Mandela.

Among the world leaders attending are US President Barack Obama, Cuba's Raul Castro and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

For the thousands of South Africans who do not get a seat at the stadium, there will be buses to three "overflow" stadiums showing the memorial on big screens.

Will Ross reports from Johannesburg.
