Mandela's schoolmate: 'He was always well dressed'

Nelson Mandela's former schoolmate has told the BBC that he considers the former South African president to have been a "genius" who "deserves all that is being done for him."

GGT Matshayana, who studied with Mr Mandela at the Clarkebury Institute in the 1930s, remembered that "he was always well dressed and smart."

Mr Matshayana had been watching events from his home, not far from Mthatha.
