Mandela funeral: 'No invitations' issued by government

Collins Chabane, a Minister in the South African Presidency, has responded to claims that Archbishop Desmond Tutu had been 'snubbed' over Nelson Mandela's funeral.

Archbishop Tutu, a veteran anti-apartheid campaigner, has said he will not be going to Nelson Mandela's funeral because he has not been invited.

Addressing a press conference that focussed on plans for Nelson Mandela's funeral, Mr Chabane explained that "the government issued no invitation to any guest", but that Archbishop Tutu was indeed on the guest list.
