South Sudan government 'agrees to truce'
The rebel leader in South Sudan has given a cautious response to government proposals for a ceasefire.
Riek Machar told the BBC that any ceasefire needs to be credible and properly monitored.
Earlier in the day, leaders from the East African eight-member bloc, known as Igad said the government had agreed to end hostilities.
Violence erupted earlier this month between troops loyal to President Salva Kiir and those supporting Mr Machar.
