South Sudan government 'agrees to truce'
East African leaders say South Sudan's government has agreed to end hostilities, although there's been no confirmation from President Salva Kiir.
In a statement after regional talks in Nairobi, Ethiopian Foreign Minister Tedros Adhanom "welcomed the commitment by the government of the Republic of South Sudan to an immediate cessation of hostilities".
The statement urged the rebel leader, Riek Machar, to make similar commitments. It also threatened unspecified further measures if the parties did not comply within four days.
