South Sudan conflict: Many drown fleeing fighting
More than 200 civilians in South Sudan have drowned in an incident involving an overcrowded ferry on the Nile, an army spokesman has said.
Women and children were among the passengers fleeing fighting near the town of Malakal in recent days.
Some 355,000 people have been displaced by the fighting between the South Sudanese government and rebel forces, according to the UN.
