Maimane: Upcoming elections present 'difficulty'
Leader of the Democratic Alliance in Johannesburg Mmusi Maimane has said the forthcoming election presents "difficulty" for the party.
Mr Maimane told the BBC's Andrew Harding that the election coinciding with the twentieth anniversary of Nelson Mandela's release was advantageous for the country's ruling ANC party.
He said the Democratic Alliance had also felt the effect of populist parties, such as the Economic Freedom Front, which are "drawing away votes".
