South Africa election - in 60 seconds

South Africans head to the polls on Wednesday as their country struggles through one of the worst political and economic crises since the end of apartheid 20 years ago.

Under the leadership of the late Nelson Mandela, the African National Congress (ANC) won the country's first truly democratic elections in 1994, and the party has been in power ever since.

But how well will the ANC do this time?
