Oscar Pistorius trial day 27 - in 60 seconds

Oscar Pistorius's murder trial heard testimony from an anaesthetist on when Reeva Steenkamp may have eaten her last meal.

Professor Christina Lundgren testified that judging the time Ms Steenkamp had eaten her last meal by her stomach contents was "pure speculation".

The prosecution contends that the couple ate later than Mr Pistorius claims, and were awake arguing before the shooting.

The court also heard from a probation officer who had been offering emotional support to Mr Pistorius, and who asked to testify that his emotional displays were genuine.

Yvette van Schalkwyk told the court that reports that the athlete was acting and simulating distress had upset her.

Mr Pistorius denies intentionally killing Ms Steenkamp on 14 February last year.
