Sudan husband: 'Our child is traumatised'

Daniel Wani, the husband of Meriam Ibrahim, has been speaking to the BBC about the death sentence handed down to his wife for apostasy.

Ms Ibrahim has been jailed by a Sharia court in Sudan for abandoning her religious faith by marrying a Christian.

She has since given birth to a child in prison and will be allowed to nurse her daughter for two years before the sentence is carried out.

Mr Iwani condemned the decision, and said the couple's elder son who is 20 months old had been traumatised by living with his mother in prison.
