Doctor who led fight against Ebola dies in Sierra Leone

A doctor who was leading the fight against Ebola in West Africa has died shortly after becoming infected himself.

Dr Sheik Umar Khan was quarantined after contracting the virus himself after treating patients in Sierra Leone.

He died at the Ebola Treatment Centre in Kailahun a week after he was confirmed positive of the virus.

Shortly before his death Dr Khan spoke to the BBC's Umaru Fofana in Sierra Leone.
