Oscar Pistorius trial - 8 August - in 60 seconds

The judge in the murder trial of South African athlete Oscar Pistorius has retired to consider her verdict.

Before adjourning the court, Judge Masipa heard the defence team's closing argument. Lawyer Barry Roux said the prosecution had "twisted the facts" to discredit Mr Pistorius.

He criticised the testimonies given by some of the defendant's neighbours and portrayed him as having a heightened response to perceived danger due to his disability and background.
