Ebola: Medics 'conquering heroes', says US ambassador to UN

Mali has buried the body of its first Ebola victim - a two-year-old girl who mother is believed to have died of the virus in neighbouring Guinea.

The US ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power, is visiting the three West African countries most affected by the virus.

She said that health workers who travel to the affected areas to care for victims should be treated like "conquering heroes" on their return.

Anne Soy reports from the BBC's Ebola hub in Accra.
