US envoy Samantha Power hails West Africa Ebola progress
The US has praised Ebola-hit West African nations and foreign donors for their efforts in tackling the outbreak.
Speaking on a visit to the region, US envoy to the United Nations, Samantha Power, said Liberia and Sierra Leone had hugely increased the number of safe burials - one of the main ways the virus is transmitted.
"My main message to the Liberian people on behalf of President Obama, is that we will beat this,'' she said.
