Gorilla guardian: The ranger bringing up orphans

Africa's oldest National Park, Virunga, is located on the eastern edge of Democratic Republic of Congo, and is home to around a quarter of the world's critically endangered mountain gorillas.

Even within the park boundaries, the gorillas are sometimes killed by poachers or militias.

Park ranger Andre Bauma has been taking care of orphaned baby gorillas at Virunga for the last seven years.

He says he loves them as if they were his own children.
