Army 'retakes Baga town from Boko Haram'

The Nigerian military has claimed it has retaken the north-eastern town of Baga, which was overrun by Boko Haram militants last month.

In a tweet from its official account, the army said there had been heavy casualties and that "mopping up" operations were continuing, including clearing around 1,000 mines.

Between 150 and 2,000 people are thought to have been killed in Baga during last month's attack.
